Issues to be solved through
mutual cooperation: Raisani

Quetta—Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani designate Chief Minister of
Balochistan has said that self-accountability process would be
evolved to keep check and balance.
He said that Balochistan burning issues would be solved through
mutual cooperation and understanding.
He hoped that newly elected speaker and deputy speaker would run the
house in friendly and befitting manners. All the members and the
political parties having representation in the house would be
accommodated by the chair, Aslam Raisani said.
He the only contender for chief minister’s slot Nawab Aslam Raisani
extended his heartiest congratulation to the newly elected Speaker
and Deputy Speaker for their elections as unopposed. He expressed
the hope that the Speaker would hear to every one and run the House
impartially. He resolved that the assembly will be run on the basis
of self-accountability and the process of self-accountability will
continue in the house.
Speaking on the occasion, MMA parliamentary leader Maulana Abdul
Wasey expressed the hope that the assembly will resolve the
financial, political, social and economic problems of the province.
He also highlighted the performance of the last government as his
party was its part and demanded of the House to form a committee
aimed at probing into the process why Maulana Shirani could not
approach Nawab Akber Bugti for giving the message of President
Pervez Musharraf to him.
He also demanded of the House to constitute a committee led by the
Speaker for ending tribal disputes in the province. He also demanded
of the assembly to legislate law in the light of annual
recommendations report of Islamic Ideology Council. He lashed out at
the last federal government which did not take interest in resolving
the problem of the province.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Assembly witnessed differences among
lawmakers of Muttahida Majlise-i-Amal (MMA) MPA Molvi Sarwar
Musakhail and Awami National Party (ANP) member Abdul Khaliq Bashar
Dost over the election of Deputy Speaker Matiullah Agha as unopposed
after the oath-taking ceremony of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker in
the House.
Khaliq Bashar Dost of ANP boycotted the proceedings as protest soon
after the oath taking ceremony of Speaker Muhammad Aslam Bhutani and
Deputy Speaker Matiullah Agha. The reasons of the boycott could not
be known to any member as the ANP member left the House silently,
then Molvi Sarwar of MMA turned the House into noisy scene when he
drew attention of the Speaker and delivered emotional speech against
the ANP member and said that he had boycotted as protest against the
election of the Deputy Speaker as unopposed.
Another difference witnessed between PPP legislator Sadiq Umrani and
Speaker Aslam Bhutani when Umrani boycotted the proceedings when he
was not given time to speak in the assembly. A few minutes later
Umrani was brought back by other members in the House. Upon his
return to the House he was allowed to deliver his speech and he
began his speech with Sindhi poem of Shah Abdul Latif Bittai which
made mockery of the Speaker. However, the Speaker expressed patience
and wrote something on a paper and later emotionally tore up the
paper.
MPAs Shafiq Ahmed Khan (PPP), Ehsan Shah (BNP-A), Aslam Bizinjo
(independent), Jaffar Mandokhel (PML-Like minded group), Sardar
Sanaullah Zehri (NPP) Habib-ur-Rehman (PML-like minded), Zamarruk
Khan (ANP), Ghazala Gola, Asim Kurd Gailu (PML-like minded), Shama
Perveen Magsi (PML-like minded), Jan Ali Changezi (independent),
Rubina Irafan (PML-like minded), Khaliq Bashar Dost (ANP)and all
other MPAs who were present got opportunity to express their views
and spoke in the House.
