SSC examination from 15th

Karachi—A record number of candidates would appear in the SSC Science and General Group (Regular and Private) Annual Examinations 2008 which will commence from April 15.

This was stated by the Controller of Examinations of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK), Syed Javed Iftikhar, on Tuesday.

He informed that these examinations would be conducted simultaneously and it is expected that the number of candidates would be about 300,000. It was stated that the papers of 10th class will be conducted in the morning session and those of 9th class in the afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This would be a record that the number of candidates for these examinations in Karachi will for the first time reach the figure of about 3,00,000. The examinations will be held at over 400 centres all over the city. The preparations for the conduct of the examinations have almost been completed, he further stated.—APP
