4 teams of seminaries move into second round

Islamabad—Four teams Dar-ul-Hujjat, Ghausia Mehria, Riaz-ul-Ulum and Jamia Salfia moved into the 2nd round of 1st Bainul Madaris cricket tournament by beating their respective opponents here at G-6 cricket ground Islamabad. Dar-ul-Hujjat team defeated Qutab Shaheed, Ghausia Mehria beat Jamia Naziria, Riaz-ul-Ulum overcame Jamia Haidreia and Jamia Salfia got walk over against Abdullah Bin Waqas.

In first match of the day, Qutab Shaheed scored 46 runs while batting first in the evening. Dar-ul-Hujjat team achieved the required target in five overs for the loss of one wicket. Azfar scored 27 for Hujjat team while Qutab’s Muddasra emerged star bowler of the match with three wickets.

Ghausia Mehria downed Jamia Nazria with a convincing margin of 41runs. Jamia Nazria were bowled out for just 42 runs in reply to 83 of Mehria team. Qasim scored highest 28 for Jamia Mehria while Romi took two and Yasir and Ashfaq settled with one wicket each.
