Islamabad—President Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday
urged the Muslim ummah to collectively confront
the challenges faced by it. “We have to show
collective resolve to take the Muslim Ummah
forward and realise the true potential of the
collective powers of Ummah by sharing and
cooperating with each other,” President
Musharraf said while Inaugurating the 13th
General Assembly meeting of OIC Standing
Committee on Scientific and Technological
Cooperation (COMSTECH).

government to ensure supremacy of constitution,
sovereignty of parliament and rule of law in the

Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday banned fast
bowler Shoaib Akhtar for five years to keep him
out of cricket in Pakistan as well as abroad for
Pakistan while his teammate leg-spinner Danish
Kaneria got a warning from the committee.

sworn as the 23rd Chief Minister of the
province. He was administered the oath of his
office by the Governor NWFP Awais Ahmad Ghani at
