16 law-breakers arrested


Rawalpindi—Police have arrested 16 lawbreakers including four gamblers and two drunkards besides recovering 3475 grams charras, 723 liter wine, one liquor bottle, a pistol and a gun from their possession.
According to a police spokesman, Jatli police held Sharafat Hussain and Talat Mahmood for havaing 1120 and 1060 grams charras.
Saddar Wah police netted Shafqat Zaman with 1295 grams charras and 400 liter wine.
Rattamral police recovered three liter wine from Arshad Mahmood. Pirwadhai police arrested Rafique Khan and seized 310 liter wine. R.A.Bazar police apprehended Tahir Iqbal and Mahmood Khan for carrying 10 liter wine. Saddar Wah police nabbed Nasir Mahmood with a liquor bottle.
Haroon Daniyal and Naqash were sent behind the bars as they were allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
Rawat Police rounded up Asad Mahmood and recovered a 30 bore pistol with two rounds. Jatli police seized a gun and arrested Khursheed Ali.
Meanwhile, Saddar Wah police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid in Chachi Mohalla in its jurisdiction and rounded up four gamblers namely Arshad Mahmood, Qadeer Khan, Yar Muhammad and Ghulam Hussain who were allegedly involved in betting while playing cards.—APP
